Me and my boyfriend were curiously looking into homes and how much they are to buy. I came across some on homes.com and some beautiful homes were for sale for only $2,000 is this forreal? or is this a hoax?

I am a father of an 8 year old girl that is some what new to the Girl Scouts. We worked our tails off to sell boxes independently (as a family, not with the troop) to sell as many boxes of cookies as we could. But a 111 boxes wasn’t good enough for them because she gets a badge (barely) but can’t go to camp because we were 200 something short! I thought the point of Girl Scouts was about learning values, and being part of a team not making money for Juliet Lowe! I didn’t expect camp to be free (I would have paid) but seriously I didn’t expect the Girl Scouts to be using my daughter as a sales person! This is no different from schools sending our kids home with magazine subscriptions when the top prize is a scooter not to benefit the school or her education. Don’t sign your daughter up for Girl scouts! Your daughter will too be disappointed!

have one 9 year old child. we are not conservative. Not extreme liberal, just relaxed. no religious affiliations. just a mellow family that likes to have fun, and have our child do well in school. Looks like we can buy a beautiful home in the suburbs of houston. seriously , what are the people like if your not local, and we don’t go to church. will they accept us, or is it a definite ban. also, how far is the beach? husband is a surfer, and i hear galveston is for that. what about schools, safety, and just quality of life?

I am a Realtor in Miami but now I live in Pennsylvania, What are the requisites to get the license, I know Fl and Pennsylvania have no agreements and I would have to re take the tests? or do i need to take classes as well? Whats the BEST school? Thanks

I got my Great Dane when she was six months old from an individual. The lady decided that she couldn’t handle her anymore and so she was posted to Craigslist for sale. When I met my Dane she seemed a bit skidish but I couldn’t walk away from her. She came home with me and broke out of her shell the second she meet my girls (ages 10 & 2). She’s lived with us for almost two month and hasn’t been able to “accept” my husband. She seems to like to play with other dogs (big and small) but is very unfriendly to any human other than myself and my daughters. I want her to protect us from danger but I don’t want to worry about her attacking someone for no good reason or out of the blue. When we walk on trails she walks well until she see a person and they she goes into “protective mode”. I have to sit her down and hold her tight by the colar. She does extremely well when I let go of the leash to allow her to play until she sees another person. She doesn’t run away, she never pulls ahead, never strays more than a foot or two in front or behind me until another person comes into the picture. Is there any way I can break her of this terrible habit before she hurts someone?

My wife and I have been looking at home shared ownership schemes in our area. Because she has very good credit and mine is not very good at all we were wondering if it is possible for her to make the application on her own as we may struggle to get a mortgage on the share we buy as a joint mortgage and were thinking it might be better for her to make the application for a mortgage in her name alone. Would we still apply to the scheme jointly or would it need to be in her name only?
We don’t have much chance of buying a property outright in the area because of house prices and limited deposit.
Any advice would be gratefully received.

im renting a home that is either going to be auctioned or the bank allows the owner to short sell. Does my rent paymnet each month to the landlord “buy” my “right to possesion” from the landlord? Does putting a “for sale” sign and lockbox violate any part of Civil Code, because the sign and lockbox are not alterations, decorations, or exhibits defined in the Civil Code. So can i remove the sign and lockbok without causing damage and taking pictures to protect myself from vandalism charge.

I bought three graphing calculators at garage sales and the goodwill. The ti-83, ti-85,ti-86. Next year my child is supposed to bring a scientific calculator to school for use in class and study hall. Which of the three should I send with him? Or should I just buy a cheap dollar store Scientific calculator and send to school for him to use and keep the graphing calculators for home use? I will not be out a lot of money if he loses one of them. But I would rather have him lose a cheap calculator if he loses it or it would get stolen.
I want him to be able to use one of these three for taking the ACTS and/or SAT’S which will not be for several years. Which one would be the best for taking the SAT’S/ACTS? Which ones are approved for taking the SAT’S/ACTS? I know that these are very old. But they still do what they are designed to do. I just do not want to spend $100+ on a calculator that he will not get $100+ use out of.
