Hello, I am currently pregnant and plan to have an open adoption. I decided that I wanted to try a independent adoption instead of using an agency so I could have more of a say in where my child would go as in pick a family and pictures and such. This was a big mistake, and due to this I feel as through I am being harassed and I have no clue how to stop it. I have found a family for my child now but the harassment issue is from another woman. Here is my story:
About six months ago I got an e-mail from a woman who was looking to adopt a child using an independent method. I thought great, lets meet over lunch and just talk so I can get a feel of who she is right. The first meeting went ok, we talked for hours and hours at a local diner, she wanted to know alot of personal information, like how many partners I have had, family history and where I worked and my home life. I thought this was kinda weird but then again this was my first time going through something like this. Anyway, after that meeting she called several times to just check up on me to see how I was doing, which at first I liked that she was interested in not just me but my unborn child, but then shortly after, it spinned out of control. A week or so later, my mom ended up going to the hospital for a possible stroke, and when this happened, the only thing on my mind was my mother. The lady had called me a few times for her weekly check-up on me (if you will) and I felt comfortable enough to let her know what was going on with my mother. My family is a very private family, we dont like the world knowing everything about us, not that we have anything to hide, but we just feel that its not any ones business. Anyways….without even talking to me about it, she called the hospital that my mother was at asking my mothers condition, and not only that she came to the hospital to see my mother…..but according to her it was to be “supportive” to me. I had told her at the diner on our first meeting and several times on the phone about how my family is very private and that it was my Business on the adoption not anyone Else’s. My family is supportive of my decision with adoption but also understand that this is my choice. So anyways….I was taken back by her coming to the hospital and I was emotional and also hormonal at the time and I kinda yelled at her. Saying how I felt that she overstepped and that if I wanted her to be there I would have asked. So a few days past and she tried to contact me by phone and email and to be honest my life was hectic, I spent a lot of time with my mom. I had talked it over with my boyfriend of 3 years (who is also the father and we are choosing adoption together) and we decided that she was coming off to strong and that we would just find a different family that wanted our child who would not make us feel pressured and basically make it seem like a used car sales family, and we were in the market for a car. We respectfully wrote her an email on that choice and well…..she had not taken it so well. fast forward….she has tried to call us so many times that both of us had to change our numbers, as well as e-mails because her emails came more then spam. Our life after that (for about 3 days) was back to normal, until…..about 3 days later, I got several calls at my job from her and I just told her, mam I am sorry but you need to stop calling me you are making me feel uncomfortable and I changed my number because of you so you need to stop. She also called my boyfriend and he said the same thing. Well needless to say she had not stopped after that conversation and now the work phone has almost 30 blocked numbers. I told the owner what was going on and he understood how I felt so he let me block them. She would call from almost any phone so she could get through. Now its been almost 6 months of this and recently I have been getting calls from her friends asking for me, at all hours of the day, so we block more numbers…its getting out of hand. I feel violated but I am not sure what to do next. The calls keep coming and its making me stressed out and being pregnant I am pretty sure that is not good to be stressed. I feel like I have to hide at my place of work because I am afraid she will come in and well…..i dont know what she would do…but I just dont want that to happen. I just want to know how to make this stop. I have thought about the authorities getting involved but….I just dont know if they can even help…Any advice would help…..Thanks

Okay first of all I know I’m going to get bashed for what I did. Believe me I know it was extremely stupid. I’m 20 years old and have been in a committed relationship with my boyfriend for 3 years. We didn’t have a condom on us last night when we wanted to have sex. He used the pull out method instead (this shouldn’t even count as a method) and pulled out before and had to use his hand to make himself finish. He also had not finished in a few days so had obviously used the bathroom since then (clearing out sperm in the precum). I had a work placement for a week in a music management agency called Link Music, here I had to help organising and promoting a music festival. I helped Link Music obtain sponsors for the event. This helped me develop my people skills. I also had to organise a timetable for bands and performers coming into link music to practise or get music lessons. I also had to keep the Link Music office clean, tidy and presentable.
I also have experience planting, harvesting and preparing vegetables with my father when he grew his own for retail for a few years. This was hard work but I didn’t mind doing it.

If you don’t mind reading here’s the deal. I’m 18, about to graduate, and today I had 2 AP tests. I don’t take any meds and am very healthy aside from smoking cigs.
I don’t have ADD/ADHD or any medical problems, but one of my friends in my class said he had some Adderol and Ritalin ( I have only done it 1 other time), so I bought one of each and downed em during the break before my second exam. (Not a good idea to mix the two together, especially when my brain isn’t wired like the amphetamines are designed for) Poor decision, anyways…i started the exam 30 minutes later, the exam was a total of 2.5 hours and I was SO focused on the questions and breezed through them, also, I was really dedicated to the writing portion of it and wrote a lot fuller and in-depth answers than I had during the 1st exam. I just felt more on the ball.
When I arrived home I was in such a good mood, had an awesome convo with my mom, and then got to doing homework. Not to brag, but honestly, I am a really smart guy. It’s just I get lazy with homework and studying, which is why I just have a slightly above average GPA (3.375), but I could get straight A’s if I dedicated myself to it and gave all my effort.
I am either majoring in biology or public health and then going to med school, and I really want to do exceptionally well in college. I don’t need adderol to do well, because this 4th quarter I got almost straight A’s because I HAD to to maintain my GPA. Adderol would just make it a hell of a lot easier. Which is why I would like a script for it.
Do you think that a doctor would prescribe me adderol if I talked to him this summer? I would tell him about my study habits and I wouldn’t lie, but be straightforward and tell him what i just told you guys.
**TO CLARIFY and BEING HONEST: I have smoked weed in the past to get high (not on a regular basis, just casually at parties and on weekends and whatnot), and I think that many doctors would suspect that an 18 year who is trying to get adderol is just trying to get high.
I COULD NOT BE MORE HONEST HERE: But that is NOT why I want it, I want it to advance my academics and I hope you guys believe me, because I know there are a lot of people “just trying to get high” but that IS NOT me. Not going to lie, I enjoyed the effects: such as I was in an awesome mood, being optomistic to everybody, enjoying conversations more than I usually do, I felt efficient, focused, and the buzz from cigarettes you get is great while on it.

So its like my life is starting to crash in on me, or maybe i am being paranoid.
Work: I am a manager at a local retail store, things have been great there the past year, I worked my but off and had become one of the best stores in my district. But lately, its like my brain isnt functioning correctly, anytime I need to take care of a problem words come out of my mouth that just dont make sense. Recently I had to do some massive Firing/hiring and my interview skills totally dissapeard. Any time I talk to my bosses I leave the conversation second guessing everything that i said and proposed. Whereas usually I am confident in my decitions and will follow them through.
Home: My finace and I found out that the house we are renting is going up for sale and we cannot find anywhere to move that is within our price range that allows our “child” (dog) to come with us. so in 6 weeks we are officially homeless.
Etended family: my brother in law, which I am really close with (usually talk every week, text every few days) has been recently confiding to me that he is etremely depressed and feeling suicidal. I have been tying to “be there” for him and anything he needs. But I have also told me fiance (his brother) that he feels suicidal and not doing well. Now my brother in law is mad at me for telling my fiance(his brother) that i am worried about him. he lives 8 hours away and now stopped talking to me and all his family.
and on top of that there is always the money issues that i am sure all of us have .
|now i find myself sitting on the couch, unshower staring at this stupid computer while my fiancfe naps on the couch, Its like every strong part of me is failing and I feel guilty, sad, mad, and like i want to run away from all of this. Wipe the slate clean and start this life over…….
