I took a part time job not very far from home. The store is one I always dreamed of working in. However.. the opportunity took me by surprise as did the job opening for this place. I shopped there and been there several times. Well.. I was kinda taken away by the thrill of the moment. The hours.. vary. I am not clear on if the hours can be adjusted or not. I know upon interview I was told I can have two days off a week. I think.. I am expected to work both Sat. And Sun. Not sure if I can change this to just Sunday with my two days off during the week or not. I may have to ask.
They did hire one other part timer besides me. I was told upon interview eventually in the near future here.. I would be going to homes to sell and bring with products for huge sales. I only get a lowish base hourly wage and 2% commissions which comes out to be about 11.00 an hour part time.. and an extra 2-300.00 when I alone go to homes. Which I am sure does not happen often. I also will most likely have to split the customers for this with the other new person.
That being said.. I have been Extremely … worried this is not going to be enough nearly for me to support myself and live off of . SO.. I decided firmly that I want to go to school at night and Sat for Cosmetology. Upon time of interview the owner was asking if I considered taking classes for something similar to their benefit. This decision of mine is not.
I don’t want to tell them what I plan to go for because they may feel they will get shafted here and either rebel by not allowing me time off.. OR.. look for someone else. So.. I was going to either say I am going to take classes at a County College at night and Sat. for business.
How long do you think I would have to wait to say something? Because I had no plans of this at the interview.
Also.. Worse Case Scenario….IF they don’t allow me the time on Sat off and expect I go to homes at night in the evenings and find that I won’t be able to do this… I may be let go..
IF>>> They won’t or can’t accommodate my schedule, (What types of jobs that I would like or enjoy.. similar possibly to this home decor store with a nice homey feel… can I get and live with that would be flexible around school in the evenings and Saturdays. I have to have two days a week off for my mom to bring her to the doctors. ( I would need a job that I start early in the morning.. can get two days off a week and Sat. off. ) I can work Sundays. It seemed to take forever to find and land this job. I am scared that I will be back to finding crummy jobs that are horrible.
I was not sure where to look to keep my eyes open. I also did not want to wait so long to go to school because it will take something a little over a year at night longer that way.. which is the only schedule and school that has it that would work for me. Thanks.
I know.. many part time jobs are flexible. I just don’t know which would be most flexible. Thanks.

My husband is a handyman and I know there are other contractors like him who could work more if they have a person taking care of their calls, appointments, etc. I know I can do that for contractors working from my own home office. I know all I need is the calls to come to there phone and be transferred to mine or if they have people leaving messages now all I need to do is call them back to set up appointments. The problem is I have no idea as to what I can charge for this service.
Different contractors will have a different volume of people calling. Some might want me to do more than set appointments. I am really good at sales and they might need me to tell more about their business. I don’t know what else I could do but whatever the secretaries used to do for these contractors before they decided to use recorders instead and do the rest themselves.
How can I structure this? Thank you.

in other words, on certain, qualified property, the government has no legal authority to confiscate the real estate through condemnation, eminent domain, liens, and there are no property taxes. And if not, what do you have against true private property ownership?

Because they won’t eat our crap, that we lovingly produce here in this country because we are the most healthiest society in the World.
Our 6′ 9″ 300 pounder Anglosaxon/African USA citizens can eat much more food in a day than any third world tribal village who can live off a bowl of rice for like a week.
And we Americans don’t need to cook home meals anymore because our Mcdonalds helps us crave our hunger cravings every hour.

Okay.. I originally .. applied for this catering job. However its very spontaneous in hours your work and very part time as well as (seasonal) only until Sept/ Oct. I was given a schedule to check off at the time of the interview, but I was nervous . The Manager was a fast talker. I am not sure if weekends were mandatory Or… if we were to check off our availability no matter when we were available. So.. at the time.. I checked off all nights and weekends.
In the mean time… I had a call back today twice from a furniture and gift boutique home store that is a big red barn and so .. full of the most beautiful and outrageous gift items, accessories, costume jewelry, pillows etc. The store is ten minutes away. I was out both times and missed the call from the owner. She did not leave me a voice message. I seen her call on my ID twice. I am sitting her now.. waiting to see if she calls back. She had told me in the interview that she was wanting someone to start on Monday and would be making her decision this week.
I want this job badly! It’s a permanent part time position 25-30 hours a week. The pay is only $8.00 an hour.. however.. with 2% commission of shared store sales daily and when you go to peoples homes alone with store items and these are regulars for the most part… they usually or can purchase 2-3 thousand dollars worth of furniture. She said that would be two to three hundred in commission for me alone. She said the pay ends up averaging about $11.00 an hour. Which is not bad for part time work. I would not have to work nights. Just Sat and Sundays. I would have two days a week off.
First Question: Do you think she is calling to offer me the job? OR to tell me I did not get it? They needed to hire two people.
Second Question: I mentioned in the lengthy interview I had with the owners that my mom is sick but mobile. I did not say she had cancer to jeopardize the job opportunity or make them not choose me. This should not interfere with my job.. however.. (One) of my two days off has to be every 21 days to be exact for my moms chemo treatment. For some unknown reason the nurse did not tell me why.. she has to stick to that exact number of days and can’t detour from it. So…I will have to tell whomever makes up the schedule my one of two days will need to be scheduled every 21 days.. which only I know the pattern which is according to when she starts this month on the 23rd. (Do I bring this up tonight on the phone or when she calls me back. IF she is offering me the job? ) OR do I wait for my first day Monday and then let them know? I am not sure if the owner or manager will be making up the schedule to be honest because they do have one other store and said they don’t come to the store often.
Last Question: IF I am offered the job.. I am going to have to email the catering manager and tell her that I was offered a permanent part time job close by and that I can still work nights if she needs me and would be willing to do that Or even bus tables at the restaurant BUT.. I have to work weekends at the new job and will not be available for weekends for catering. Should I ask if I can re vise my availability and if the weekends are mandatory?
I really need to money and would love to pick up extra hours… however it may or may not be possible to be honest because I will be working until 5:30 and most events I would assume start at 4 or 5 even six would be cutting it close.
OR Should I just stick to the part time job closer to where I live for now? Thanks

It’s a bank owned short sale that is in a pending existing lender approval. First off, i don’t know what that means and was wondering if I would still be able to make a bid or an offer on the home while its in this status. Someone who has experience with real estate and the inner workings…if the house is up for 275k, what do you think a reasonable offer would be that the banks would be willing to accept? The house is in Henry County in GA, in the city of McDonough….here’s a link to it. Your answers are appreciated. http://www.tinafountain.com/listing/4272…
